History

Established in 2017, the Moldavian Biosafety and Biosecurity Association (MDBBA) is a professional-scientific non-profit organization with an instructive and educational character.

To date, the MDBBA has developed successful partnerships with national academic organizations, including the National Agency for Public Health, the Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Moldova, and Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

Since 2018, the MDBBA has been an affiliated member of the European Biosafety Association (EBSA) and a member of the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA), prestigious international organizations with extensive experience in the fields of biosafety and biosecurity, biological risk management, and dual-use issues.

The Moldavian Biosafety and Biosecurity Association (MDBBA) aims to serve as a unifying platform and catalyst for professionals engaged in biological risk management and to act as a trusted partner for public, private, and professional organizations.
