The Professional Development Group serves as a platform dedicated to strengthening professional expertise and promoting excellence in the fields of biosafety and biosecurity. Through the development of specialized resources, facilitation of knowledge exchange, and promotion of professional collaboration, the group contributes to strengthening the capacities of specialists involved in the handling of biological agents.
The development and promotion of specialized guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and informational materials in the fields of biosafety and biosecurity, aimed at strengthening professional practices and ensuring a high level of safety in the handling of biological agents.
The group supports the continuous development of professional competencies through the organization of workshops, roundtables, training courses, competitions, and exchange programmes. These activities facilitate knowledge transfer among specialists and promote the adoption of modern professional practices.
